And I'll start right in with a big razzberry for our friends at Autodesk. Now that I can see the readme files, a crushing disappointment...
The "recommended" installation of Civil 3D (the one I run, 64-bit on Win 7 x64) can't run it. The FDO provider for ArcGIS is no-go for 64-bit. Kinda skipped over that the other day, eh?
I'd expect it has to do with the fact that there is no 64-bit ArcGIS - the installation also requires that you have a licensed installation of the ESRI ArcEngine - 9.3.1. Hey guys, you expect us to be on-the-spot upgraders when a new version of AutoCAD comes out. Wouldn't you figure that we would be doing the same there, and running ArcGIS v10?
Ah well, le's see if I can have some fun with the other toys in the SBP...
